How to give from abroad
Open the campaign link, choose an amount in cedis and pay by debit or credit card. Your card issuer converts the amount into your currency and may add a foreign transaction fee, so check with your bank if you give often. Some cards issued outside Ghana may not be accepted; if a payment fails, try another card.
If you have a Ghanaian mobile money wallet, you can use that instead. Either way, the donation counts once the payment provider confirms it.
What you can support
Medical bills for relatives at home
Funeral costs shared across the family
School fees for nieces, nephews and students from your community
Hometown projects such as boreholes and classrooms
Church appeals for the congregation you grew up in
Why a campaign beats sending money to one person
A transfer to one relative helps, but it leaves everyone else asking how much has been raised and what is still needed. A campaign gathers every contribution in one place, shows the total and gives the family a page to post updates on, so relatives in different countries see the same picture.
Organizers verify their identity before a campaign can be created, and payouts go to a Ghanaian bank account or mobile money wallet after checks.
Starting a campaign from abroad
Campaign creation is open to organizers based in Ghana. If you live abroad, ask a trusted family member, church or organization in Ghana to start the campaign, then share it with the rest of the diaspora and give yourself.
Before you give
A few checks take a minute and protect your money:
Give through the campaign page, not to phone numbers posted in comments or messages
Check who the organizer is and how they are connected to the cause
Read the updates to see what has happened so far
Report anything that looks wrong to our trust team
